Meet our Veterinarians

Dr. Jones grew up in Summerville, South Carolina. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science in 1981 from Clemson University. He continued his education at the University of Georgia where he earned his DVM in 1985. Ever since, Dr. Jones has been a member on our team! 

 

His favorite part about the job are the daily challenges and the variation of diseases we see and treat at Lakeside. It's never a boring day here! Dr. Jones is very passionate about his job and enjoys learning something new every day!

Outside of the office Dr. Jones became very involved and is a member of the Trident Veterinary Medical Association, South Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and American Heartworm Society. In his free time, you might find him either at the golf course, building something, or spending time with his family.

From Columbia, South Carolina, Dr. Trotter grew up with a love for animals. He attended Clemson University where he received his Bachelors of Science in Animal Veterinary Science in 2016. As he developed an interest and passion for animals and medicine he continued school at the University of Georgia where he received his DVM in 2020. He then began his veterinary career at Lakeside!

 

After joining our team, Dr. Trotter grew to love surgery. He was eager to learn and train and has become a fine surgeon since he has been here! In his college years he joined the Clemson Shotgun Shooting team and was able to balance academics and accomplish everything he faced!

On his off days, Dr. Trotter enjoys spending his days on the boat with his wife, Dr. Carly Trotter, and his precious pets. If he isn’t on the boat you could find him in a duck blind. Since day one, Dr. Trotter has been dedicated to his job and has loved every aspect of it.

From Beaufort, SC, Dr. Carly Trotter grew up with a love for animals. She attended Clemson University and received her Bachelors of Science in Animal Veterinary Science in 2016. She earned her DVM at the University of Georgia in 2020. She began her veterinary career at a practice in Charleston and later decided to join her husband at Lakeside in 2022! Ever since she started at Lakeside, Dr. Trotter has been an important asset to our team!

Dr. Trotter is determined to solve the puzzle when something may be wrong, especially when a pet can't tell you, but her favorite part about it is making a difference in everyone’s life, both the patient and the owner.

Whether she’s on or off the clock, Dr. Trotter enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Gene Trotter. They both spend their free time on the boat together, or just relaxing. Dr. Carly Trotter has contributed so much of her time, effort, and intelligence to our team and we are lucky to have a second Trotter with us!

Fun Fact: Dr. Carly Trotter's husband is Dr. Gene Trotter! We are lucky to have them both!

Dr. Caroline Earnheart, came from the small, North Carolina town, Marvin. She attended Clemson University and received her Bachelors of Science in 2017. She then attended Saint George’s University for her first three years of Vet School where she lived in the Caribbean! She finished up her fourth year at the University of Georgia and received her DVM in 2022. 

Dr. Earnheart initially started at Clemson pursuing in business until she started volunteering at a veterinary clinic where she found herself looking forward to working with animals each shift. Shortly after, she decided to change her career path and followed the mantra do what you love, love what you do. Her favorite part about the job is watching and helping some of her first patients grow as a part of her family. 

When Dr. Earnheart isn’t in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as spending time on the boat or cracking open a book for a good read! Lakeside is lucky to have such a devoted and hard worker like Dr. Earnheart!

Fun Fact: Dr. Earnheart lived in the Caribbean where she attended her first 3 years of Veterinary school at St. George's University!

Dr. Will Hamryka spent his days growing up on a horse farm in Dawsonville, Georgia. He attended Washington and Lee University, where he received his Bachelors in Arts in 2019 and continued his education at the University of Georgia, receiving his DVM in 2023. He joined our team in July 2023, beginning his career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Hamryka grew up in a family of veterinarians with whom he shared the love of all animals. Early on, he saw the positive impact veterinarians can have on families through helping their pets. His love for problem solving drew him toward this profession, where he hopes to make a positive impact in the years to come. 

In his free time, Dr. Hamryka can be found at the beach or spending time with his wife and pets, Maverick and Rooster. He enjoys playing golf, soccer, disc golf, or running with his wife. Since he began his career here, Dr. Hamryka found a love for surgery, ultrasonography, and most of all, working as a member of a team. We are so excited to have Dr. Hamryka join our team!

Fun Fact: Dr. Hamryka played soccer during undergrad at Washington and Lee University!
